Welcome to our awards page. Our
purpose in creating this awards program is to encourage webmasters to design better websites. We view awards
programs as a peer review system, meaning a way for webmasters to check out each others sites and reward
those that meet specific criteria. This provides a useful service in that it increases the value of these
sites to the community.
We are interested in rewarding sites which are good overall, rather than those with fancy bells and
whistles. Good design, content and navigation are of the most importance.
We will review sites within two weeks. Only winners will be notified.

How we Judge sites for the Awards
Briefly, we are looking for sites which:
- Meet the general criteria (be sure and read these before
submitting your site)
- Meet any specific award criteria
- And show that the webmaster communicated something of value to the world.
Fancy graphics are great, and the newest Flash animations are wonderful, but these are all for naught if
the site does not communicate effectively. Our belief is that the web is about getting people to start
"talking" to one another. A good web site should do more than just post pictures, it should show the
author's passion for the subject.
The best web sites are not about perfect HTML code or a wonderfully produced design - they are about
people and they inform, entertain, enlighten and possibly sell us something.
And that's what we are looking for in all of our awards. Passion. The webmasters passion for whatever he
or she is attempting to communicate. In order words, all the wonderful HTML, the best Flash, the perfect
graphics, the precisely worded phrases are all the picture frame for the picture - the communication.
Most award programs miss this essential fact because they are looking at the minutiae of how a site is
put together or the preciseness of it's thread. While we do care (and judge) about such things, they are not
our number one priority.
So if your site falls within our criteria and it communicates well about something which you feel
passionately, then by all means submit it.
